I can’t tell you how many times I have written and taken down my “about” section.
It’s not that I don’t want to share.. I probably have way too much to say... but I’m one of those gals who would rather sit for long hours with you over a cup of tea and get to know the “real” you. I’m rather reserved in a large crowd, but love and find joy and laughter in the presence of my friends and family. You would think by this blog that my favorite conversation would revolve around food and photography, believe it or not, they would probably come third right after my family, which is my second favorite topic to chat about. My favorite conversation and what I spend the majority of my thoughts on is my Savior and best friend, Jesus Christ. As I sit here typing this out, I am playing a song (on repeat mode) :) called “How He Loves” by David Crowder. “We are His portion and He is our prize, drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes.. and oh, how He loves us, how He loves us all.”
With all assurance I can tell you that the love of God is so great towards you and me, that He sent His son to fulfill a promise of redemption; to draw a broken and sinful world back into fellowship with Him. I find peace and solace, joy and excitement at reading and studying the bible everyday. I never tire of the words in His book. "Lord, to whom shall I go? You have the words of eternal life and I have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
As far as food and photography, I believe these are a gifting from Him to me. The artsy gal who spent hours in the kitchen as a child with my Italian grandparents, my mom, dad and sisters. Growing up I never quite knew what I was fond of most; cooking, sports, art, music, literature.. It all just made sense within marriage and the family life, when cooking seemed to outweigh them all. Hah! A hungry family indeed!
Through this blog photography entered my creative world and "Wow"! With my camera I'm able to recapture some of those artistic moments that I have yet to bring back into my life. So here is my muse and my palate. I hope you enjoy the art you find here!
P.S. I meant what I said about getting to know the real “you”, drop me a note if you’d like to chat!

Laure, I'm so happy to have found your blog - it's so clean, so straightforward, so filled with beautiful pictures and inspiring recipes! If that's an expression of the "real" you, then I'd like to know more :)) See you around!
